Bitcoin: Money Without Borders: Peer to Peer Payments and Peer to Peer Philanthropy is coming soon! (English Edition) Kindle Edition

Most people understand very little about Bitcoin. But the mass acceptance of crypto-currencies is already underway. We are living in a time of big change - one in which the ultra conservative banking sector is finally being forced to evolve.
Person to person lending, crowd funding and other peer to peer payment methods are quickly gaining popularity. The Bitcoin Tidal Wave is gaining momentum too - this tidal wave is poised to sweep over industries the same way that Paypal, iTunes, Skype, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin did. Bitcoin will do to banks what email did to the postal industry.
The more companies that accept Bitcoin, the more valuable it is to consumers. The more valuable bitcoin is to consumers, the more valuable it is for merchants. 2014 could be the beginning of the virtuous cycle Bitcoin evangelists have been hoping for.
How can your business or charity benefit from this revolutionary “social currency”?
This is my second eBook on Bitcoin. This is a concise and objective guide to the applications of Bitcoin and in particular how to use Bitcoin with the powerhouse that
is Facebook to grow your income or donations exponentially. In this book I look at some of the latest developments in the Bitcoin and crypto - currency world. You will find out how to ride the wave of mass adoption that is just about to happen!
Bitcoin the currency is what the media focuses on - its price volatility, who the secret inventor was etc That all makes for a good story, but what is really interesting is the actual technology behind Bitcoin - the very clever system that is called the Blockchain. This is what makes money programmable and allows applications for peer to peer money transfers that were previously impossible. It was when I started researching this aspect that the myriad possibilities for businesses and charities started to dawn on me
Don't worry about jargon such as blocks, blockchain, hashing, wallets, private keys, or mining. You don't need to know all this techie stuff to put Bitcoin to work for your business or charity. In Bitcoin: Money Withour Borders - You will discover:
The EXCLUSIVE reasons why I believe Bitcoin (and other digital currencies) will "go viral" and gain mass acceptance soon
How to harness the power of Bitcoin and Facebook to increase your income or charitable donations
Why you don't need to understand programming or algorithms to be able to use digital currencies
How we can all have a financial system that is open and inclusive
How the 2.5 Billion unbanked people in the World can be brought into a peer to peer money and philanthropy system
How tipping and micro-payments can be used for your business or charity
Why the price of digital currencies will skyrocket
How to get started quickly and safely
And much more
This eBook is relevant for individuals, business owners and administrators or trustees of charities and not-for-profit organisations.

I was born in Cardiff, Wales and I love hiking and camping in The Gower Peninsular in South Wales.

Australia is my second home. I spend my time between the 'Old' South Wales and the 'New' South Wales! The climate allows me to indulge my passion for orchid growing and snorkeling.

I am now an Author but, with a diverse background as a radio telegraphist, archaeologist, travel guide and financial broker, my experiences have shaped the ongoing themes in my books. The professions I've been involved with over the years are not those traditionally seen as 'women's realms' you could say!

I write about things that I am familiar with. So, I write about alternative investments, archaeological artifacts, works of art, and cryptocurrencies, as ways to move money undetected, around the World. I delve into areas that challenge stereotypes, particularly focusing on empowering women in the world of finance and mathematics.

My new Historical Fiction book, Hidden Agenda explores the intersection of alternative finance, history, mystery, and intrigue.

Here is a snippet from the back page blurb:

Embark on a journey through intrigue and history in Hidden Agenda.

In 2013, the tranquil beauty of the Gower Peninsula, Wales, is shattered when Evelyn Jones, a beloved grandmother, meets a violent end while walking her dogs. As the South Wales Police grapple with the inexplicable nature of her death, Detective Nia Farriday, a sharp-minded investigator from The Met, is summoned to assist with the case that appears to be a chilling professional assassination.

Nia is a quirky character - a unique blend of ex-archaeologist and ex-stockbroker, with unorthodox methods.

Farriday must look to the past to find the keys to this case

Traversing the landscapes of Wales and a medieval town in Denmark, Nia follows a trail of enigmatic clues hidden amongst priceless pieces of art, censored diaries and classified documents, she discovers a history-altering hidden agenda.

Hidden Agenda is a riveting tale inspired by real events and characters from World War II and the Cold War era.

Themes of morality, guilt, and survival intertwine with a timely exploration of the power of misinformation on a mass scale.

As the lines between past and present blur, readers are drawn into a world where truth is the ultimate prize.

I am already working on Book 2 of the Nia Farriday series and many of the same themes come up again, but in very different contexts.

Little known facts about Von (that's what all my friends call me)

I love dancing - particularly to Amy Winehouse, Billy Idol, U2, Madonna

I love traveling and exploring archaeological sites, but when I'm at home I turn into a recluse.

I sometimes forget to turn on my mobile phone for days on end

I love Darjeeling tea and cake!

I have postcard and stamp collections and a library full of antiquarian books.

I invested in Cryptocurrencies back in 2012 and have written Kindle books on Bitcoin and Crypto currencies for charities.

I love my delivery of 'World Archaeology' magazine every two months.

I hate guns, having been shot in the foot when I was a teenager!

I am a huge nature lover and I do my best thinking whilst hiking or snorkeling.

I am an avid orchid collector and can spend hours in my shadehouse splitting and potting on …

I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading my books!

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly Good!
Reviewed in the United States on 5 November 2014 Verified Purchase Yvonne Jenkins has done an amazing job of explaining how Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies work and their potential to turn the world of finance on its head and make the distribution of currencies available to all of the world s population. Some of the information is sobering like 70 million people in the US do not have a bank account, but that s a small drop in the bucket compared to the 2.5 billion people in the world who are unbanked. Jenkins explains in an easy-to-read but yet thorough way how Bitcoin can revolutionize philanthropy by making donations and other wire transfers almost instantaneous without the insanely high fees associated with bank transfers. If you want to know about Bitcoin and its ability to change the world, this is the perfect starting point.

5.0 out of 5 stars Power to the People!
Reviewed in the United States on 1 November 2014 Verified Purchase So uplifting to read and understand the potential of digital currencies for "good". Imagine a world where your donation has a direct effect- without borders- peer to peer; one to one; app to mobile; wallet to wallet? An essential read for all charities, businesses and individuals frustrated by antiquated payment systems hopelessly out of step with the immediacy of our digital age. This little book demystifies the technical jargon of using and utilizing digital currencies and lays out in clear language how it all works. Power to the people!
